Hard to beat on all scores, Barn Owls are always a huge pleasure to watch, especially in bright sunshine (and well away from roads). This male hunted the Tip - a small grassland reserve here in Filey - around me, unconcerned by my presence, and carried prey high up into the sky, over part of the town and back to his family at the Dams.
